Exceptional Sous/Crew Chef For Private 70m+ M/Y (Exch)

This is a unique rotational (2:2) position for a Sous/Crew Chef who likes to get involved in all aspects of the yacht and is willing to participate in guest activities. The Crew Chef will be the sole Chef in the galley when there are no guests on board and will be expected to cook for a crew of up to 16-20. The Head Chef will be on the boat whenever there is a guest trip.
They are looking for someone who is vibrant, and has life interests outside of the work domain i.e. water sports, photography, outdoor pursuits, etc. that will add to the team and guest experience.
All crew are fit and energetic and are looking for a down-to-earth, friendly person to work alongside them. They love variety and a friendly soul in the galley who will use their culinary skills to produce fresh, healthy meals for the crew. You will need to demonstrate solid training and experience in cooking and a solid work ethic to nab this great job!

The successful candidate will have the following required qualifications, experience and attributes:
  • Must be female due to cabin arrangements
  • Valid ENG1
  • STCW95 including Security Training for seafarers + Security Awareness
  • Hygiene certificate
  • Be a non-smoker (no exceptions)
  • Be fit, healthy and active with an outgoing personality
  • Be neat and well-presented, with no visible tattoos or piercings
  • Solid cooking skills formal training expected but not mandatory if you can show your talent.
  • Demonstrable experience working in kitchens (or galleys)
  • At least one years’ experience in the yachting industry
  • The ability to help wherever needed in the team
  • Good organizational skills and self-motivation
Salary: Salary 3,000 – 4,000 Euro pm depending on level of qualifications and experience. 2 months on 2 month off rotation. (182 days leave p.a.) with flights included.
Start: 27th October or 1st December (TBC)
