Required qualifications and/or experience:
Ø In-status PADI OWSI with at least two years experience / 100 certifications
Ø Bachelor´s Degree (preferably in marine biology or associated disciplines)
Ø Fluent in English, with a basic grounding in Spanish or willingness to learn
Ø Minimum six-month commitment
Ø No drugs and No alcohol (Looking for someone who respects the craft & loves nature)
Highly beneficial qualifications, skills and/or experience:
Ø Experience in marine ecology, marine biology or marine conservation
Ø Team player, open-minded and interactive personality
Ø Willingness to work hard
Ø Friendly and positive attitude with all the guests
Ø Flexibility, reliability and patience
Ø Fluent English is a must. Good Spanish, French and Italian is a plus.

The successful applicant will come in initially on a volunteer basis (food and accommodation rovided) for the first month of their stay. During this time they will work as assistant manager, shadowing the shop manager in his daily duties.
We are looking for a minimum six-month commitment, pending an evaluation after the first month at the dive center. If both parties are happy to continue with the relationship, the applicant will take over as Manager of the dive center with food, accommodation and set salary provided. As our name suggests, we are committed to driving marine ecology on Roatan and as such, we aim to work hand-in-hand with Roatan Marine Park authorities, as well as other researchers, to contribute important data concerning the Roatan reefs (part of the extensive Mesoamerican Barrier Reef system). For this reason it is VITAL to have a passion for marine ecology and preferably a background in marine biology/ecology.
The manager is also responsible for driving ecological projects for the dive centre, overseeing our Divemaster conservation internship, recruiting new staff, managing our busy school expedition season between June and August and ensuring all maintenance and equipment servicing is completed as per scheduling.
