Our client, a 30+M luxury charter sailboat. It is available for weekly charters but is also used as a “floating hotel to add capacity to guests on nearby islands. She also is available for day sails. They are looking for a Chief Stewardess who has special qualities and an ability to join in no matter where on the boat and make it work. The interaction with the crew is as important to the guest experience as the boat and the locations visited. “Hosting the guests is a very important aspect of the experience. This is reflected in the manner in which we deal with guests – and crew.
We try to offer something a bit different from the norm and are proud to do so. We recruit the crew for their personalities as well as their technical skills and experience and we want them to bring all of that to work with them. We try to employ crew that want more than a single season experience so that the teamwork can develop and we can have consistency of standards delivery. We also try to offer a more relaxed whilst still highly professional service to our guests - so visits to the engine room and galley are welcomed. We encourage the crew to respond to the different guests requirements and provide whatever they would like. Apart from issues that would compromise safety we try never to say “No. The crew support each other and the divisions between one person’s job and another’s are kept as flexible as possible to share the burden and facilitate a harmonious working atmosphere.
