An experienced, ultra-professional General Manager to oversee, co-ordinate and direct all aspects of the activities of this extensive property. The General Manager will ensure all hospitality services are delivered in an extremely high standard. They shall have the ability to build, develop, manage and maintain a strong dedicated team.

The role shall involve hands-on day to day management of the property including all areas of service as well as the technical teams in charge of general maintenance and upkeep of both interiors and grounds.

Impeccable presentation and interpersonal skills are essential.

Scope of duties shall include:

* Planning, organsing and directing all operations and services including Food and Beverage, Production and Service, Housekeeping and Laundry, Health & Safety along with Food Hygiene, Guest Reception, Maintenance and Landscaping
* Managing Department Heads and Household staff, overseeing day to day requirements of the Property and Guests
* Establishing and defining and ensuring the implementation of superior standards of quality service across all departments
* Overseeing all Human Resources relating to Hospitality Staff
* Overseeing all procurement for the Household
* Maintaining inventory and stock control on all items in the Household
* Maintaining budgetary plan and overseeing all relevant accounting
* Overseeing contractors and other companies on site

Education and Experience required:

* Minimum of 10 years' of hotel or luxury property management experience, gathered in respected 5 Star world-renowneded deluxe properties and/or private residence
* Management or Leadership degree in Hospitality or equivalent
* Experience in opening 5 star hotels/luxury properties and involvement in renovations and major projects
* High proficiency in English both written and oral with working knowledge of Arabic advantageous

Interpersonal Skills:

* Service oriented with professional presentatoin skills appropriate for VIP guests
* Clear, concise written and verbal communication skills in English and preferably also Arabic
* Demonstrated ability to effectively interact wtih people of diverse socioeconomic, cultural and ethnic backgrounds
* Ability to work well in stressful, high pressure situations
* Ability to convey information and ideas clearly
* Ability to plan and conduct meetings
* Effective in handling problems in the workplace
* Proven leadership demonstrating effective listening, understandind, clarifying and resolving concerns and issues raised by co-workers/guests
