Position: STEW/DECK - For summer season June through SeptemberLegal to work in the US. - Citizen, green card, US work permit.JOB: 35102Yacht: 55' Motor plus several other small boatsLocation: Connecticut, New York areaStart date: ImmediateItinerary: CT, New York, Nantucket, local cruisingLicence: noneRequirements: valid STCW95 and ENG1 or current US medical certificate. US Citizen or a green card holder. Previous experience on boats.Responsibilities: To assist Captain with wash downs, service, lines, etc.Other: This is for the remainder of the summer in CT area. It will be a live off so there will be accommodations on land provided in a hotel nearby. It will be a great job for someone that wants to spend the summer in New England.Job Specifics: This is a nice family program. Kayaking, jet skiing, cruising. Assisting with deck work, wash downs, water sports, interior as well, serving drinks, bartending. Picking up catered meals, dropping of laundry, provisioning, etc. The owner and his family and friends use it on some week-ends and some evenings the clients employees (head of departments sometimes go out for a cruise).
Deck rolls
Assisting with wash downs of all Boats, Jet-skis and kayaks
Polishing, Waxing and general detailing
Assisting with lines and fenders when docking
General boat handling would be a plus but can also be taught
Interior rolls
Serving guests drinks and food
Cleaning and detailing the interior
Picking up provisions
Picking up catering
Dropping off and picking up laundry (deck towels and bedding)
Salary range: Within yachting salary guidelines depending on experience. Paid by a US Corportation so taxes will be deducted. Up to $4500.00 per month.
Package : Will be advised. Land based accommodations will be provided. Insured while working.
Commercial Registered Yacht: No MUST be able to pass an extensive back ground check.
